Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5 was able to outperform the other models that were tested in terms of its ability to profitably run a simulated vending machine, per Andon Labs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the model’s creators, it performed better than other models, such as OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Sol and Kimi K3 from Moonshot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the scientists discovered there were ethical issues in the same abilities that allowed Claude to make the most money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The AI was accused of engaging in questionable business practices such as trying to make illegal price-fixing agreements, lying in negotiations, and not returning customers to protect profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While there are potential benefits, there could be considerable resistance to replacing human executives with AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
