Many younger singles are seeking more natural linkages, and experiences that occur off of their phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The task for Tinder isn&#8217;t simply to draw in new user base but in addition to redefine what a dating app can provide in a modifying society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tinder is facing problems with user growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The in-person events are happening at a tough time for Tinder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The revenue of Match Group, Tinder&#8217;s parent company, fell in the latest quarter. The Match Group stock tumbled over 10% after hours after the earnings release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although it&#8217;s falling, company leaders are optimistic about Tinder&#8217;s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Match Group CEO Spencer Rascoff pointed out improvement in user growth declines. Tinder&#8217;s monthly actives saw a 7% fall in the second quarter, down from the 8% drop in the first quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rascoff also said that he expects that Tinder&#8217;s daily active user growth will soon be positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But since that, the platform hasn&#8217;t had positive growth in its user base in over three years, and engagement and retention are key priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Generation Z&#8217;s Desire for More Offline Connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Tinder method is a reflection of dating habits of youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gen Z, who have always known a life with a phone and online communication, are now seeking more meaningful in-person interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While dating apps made it easier to meet new people, some people have been disappointed by the lack of quality conversations, with endless swiping and the stress of online dating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Match Group believes its own research substantiates this trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nearly half of singles ages 18-29 are interested in experiencing real-life experiences with individuals that may become closer connections, Rascoff said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From online interactions to offline, it can still be difficult for a generation who have lived much of their social lives online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tinder thinks that their events feature can help fill that void.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tinder Events Take Online dating to the real world.Tinder Events Take Online dating to the real world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March Tinder launched its in-person events program, which was a test in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company developed its very own Events tab within the Tinder app, enabling customers to discover regional social events that might be a great way to satisfy new people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The events include experiences such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speakeasy gatherings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bowling events<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raves<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pottery classes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other social activities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Users can meet a person who that matches with naturally via common experiences, rather than a profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The early response was particularly good from younger members, Tinder said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Los Angeles, 71 percent of Tinder active users of between 18 and 24 years of age involved with the new Events section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As of the beginning of the program, Tinder has had over 60 events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Growing into other cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After its success in Los Angeles, Tinder has begun rolling out the feature globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Events tab has been rolled out in another nine cities in the U.S. and Europe since March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company says the feature will be added to 26 cities worldwide by the end of September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tinder will roll out Events in 75 cities by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The expansion indicates that Tinder considers offline encounters to be more than simply a short-term test.
